The Half Ghost is a long range, two place twin engine interceptor. It was designed in the mid 2220s, and has been produced in great numbers; approximately fourteen hundred Half Ghosts have been manufactured, with around eight hundred being sold directly to the clans, one hundred sold to Alsen-Kir, and the other five hundred being bought by private citizens.

The Half Ghost was developed, designed, and fielded in small numbers, prior to the introduction of Flash-drive technology; however, the designers kept the new propulsion system, yet unfinished, in mind. When several companies began building Flash-turbines, Aircraft of the Desert changed all production to include engines from Valley Industries, and manufactured kits to replace the conventional engines with Flash-turbines on already existing aircraft.

The Half Ghost was intended to replace the aging F-13 Warrior class fighter, which was much closer in design and performance to an attack and close support vehicle than a true fighter. With a design slanted towards stealth, the Half Ghost can pass traditional RADAR sensors almost unnoticed. With incorporation of more stealth design and stealthy materials, the Half Ghost could have been all but invisible on any sensor array.

The Warrior was not completely phased out until the late 2260s, when the F-51 Shrike became widely available.

Primary: one 2.4cm five barrel gas powered gatling, seven thousand rounds.
Secondary: internal bays for up to four AA Singer missiles, bombs up to 750 lbs can be carried, but the standard Half Ghost does not have a guidance system for bombs, and are therefore not used often.
